Las Seis Cuerdas

La guitarra,
hace llorar a los sueños.
El sollozo de las almas
perdidas,
se escapa por su boca
redonda.
Y como la tarántula
teje una gran estrella
para cazar suspiros,
que flotan en su negro
aljibe de madera.

Debussy [with English translation]

Mi sombra va silenciosa
por el agua de la acecia.

Por mi sombra están las ranas
privadas de las estrellas.

La sombra manda a mi cuerpo
reflejos de cosas quietas.

Mi sombra va como inmenso
cínife color violeta.

Cien grillos quieren dorar
la luz de la cañavera.

Una luz nace en mi pecho,
reflejado, de la acequia.
~~~~~~~
My shadow glides in silence
over the watercourse.
On account of my shadow
the frogs are deprived of stars.
The shadow sends my body
reflections of quiet things.
My shadow moves like a huge
violet-colored mosquito.
A hundred crickets are trying
to gild the glow of the reeds.
A glow arises in my breast,
the one mirrored in the water.
Dawn
Dawn in New York has
four columns of mire
and a hurricane of black pigeons
splashing in the putrid waters.
Dawn in New York groans
on enormous fire escapes
searching between the angles
for spikenards of drafted anguish
City That Does Not Sleep
In the sky there is nobody asleep. Nobody, nobody.
Nobody is asleep.
The creatures of the moon sniff and prowl about their cabins.
The living iguanas will come and bite the men who do not dream,
and the man who rushes out with his spirit broken will meet on the
street corner
the unbelievable alligator quiet beneath the tender protest of the
stars.
Nobody is asleep on earth. Nobody, nobody.
Nobody is asleep.
In a graveyard far off there is a corpse
who has moaned for three years
because of a dry countryside on his knee;
and that boy they buried this morning cried so much
it was necessary to call out the dogs to keep him quiet.
Life is not a dream. Careful! Careful! Careful!
We fall down the stairs in order to eat the moist earth
or we climb to the knife edge of the snow with the voices of the dead
dahlias.
But forgetfulness does not exist, dreams do not exist;
flesh exists. Kisses tie our mouths
in a thicket of new veins,
and whoever his pain pains will feel that pain forever
and whoever is afraid of death will carry it on his shoulders.
One day
the horses will live in the saloons
and the enraged ants
will throw themselves on the yellow skies that take refuge in the
eyes of cows
Before the Dawn
But like love
the archers
are blind
Upon the green night,
the piercing saetas
leave traces of warm
lily.
The keel of the moon
breaks through purple clouds
and their quivers
fill with dew.
Ay, but like love
the archers
are blind!
Balada Amarilla IV
Sobre el cielo
de las margaritas ando.
Yo imagino esta tarde
que soy santo.
Me pusieron la luna
en las manos.
Yo la puse otra vez
en los espacios
y el Señor me premió
con la rosa y el halo.
Sobre el cielo
de las margaritas ando.
Y ahora voy
por este campo
a librar a las niñas
de galanes malos
y dar monedas de oro
a todos los muchachos.
Sobre el cielo
de las margaritas ando.
Arbolé, Arbolé
Tree, tree
dry and green.
The girl with the pretty face
is out picking olives.
The wind, playboy of towers,
grabs her around the waist.
Four riders passed by
on Andalusian ponies,
with blue and green jackets
and big, dark capes.
'Come to Cordoba, muchacha.'
The girl won't listen to them.
Three young bullfighters passed,
slender in the waist,
with jackets the color of oranges
and swords of ancient silver.
'Come to Sevilla, muchacha.'
The girl won't listen to them.
When the afternoon had turned
dark brown, with scattered light,
a young man passed by, wearing
roses and myrtle of the moon.
'Come to Granada, inuchacha.'
And the girl won't listen to him.
The girl with the pretty face
keeps on picking olives
with the grey arm of the wind
wrapped around her waist.
Tree, tree
dry and green
Adam
A tree of blood soaks the morning
where the newborn woman groans.
Her voice leaves glass in the wound
and on the panes, a diagram of bone.
The coming light establishes and wins
white limits of a fable that forgets
the tumult of veins in flight
toward the dim cool of the apple.
Adam dreams in the fever of the clay
of a child who comes galloping
through the double pulse of his cheek.
But a dark other Adam is dreaming
a neuter moon of seedless stone
where the child of light will burn.
پهناب گوادل کویر
از زیتون‌زاران و نارنجستان‌ها می‌گذرد.
رودبارهای دوگانه‌ی غرناطه
از برف به گندم فرود می‌آید.
دریغا عشق
که شد و باز نیامد!
پهناب ِ گوادل کویر
ریشی لعلگونه دارد،
رودباران ِ غرناطه
یکی می‌گرید
یکی خون می‌فشاند.
دریغا عشق
که برباد شد!
از برای زورق‌های بادبانی
سه‌ویل را معبری هست;
بر آب غرناطه اما
تنها آه است
که پارو می‌کشد.
دریغا عشق
که شد و باز نیامد!
گوادل کویر،
برج ِ بلند و
باد
در نارنجستان‌ها.
خنیل و دارو
برج‌های کوچک و
مرده‌گانی
بر پهنه‌ی آبگیرها.
دریغا عشق
که بر باد شد!
که خواهد گفت که آب
می‌برد تالاب‌تشی از فریادها را؟
دریغا عشق
که شد و باز نیامد!
بهار نارنج را و زیتون را
آندلس، به دریاهایت ببر!
دریغا عشق
که بر باد شد!
Once upon a time ,
under the blue
dome of the sky
there were three
fairies, so fair;
just after dusk,
with nothing on.
Fairies wept hard,
as weep clouds
in the spring.
Their long hair was
as long as bow,
as dark as jet; longer than bow
Facing them was,
far off in sight,
the slavers’ town.
Behind them was,
dark and bleak,
fort of legend,
older than time.
Far off was heard
clanking of chains;
from fortress aback
came moaning of pain
“- Fairies dear!
Hungry you feel?
Faries dear!
Thirsty you feel?
Faries dear!
Tired became?
Wing-tied became?
Why do you moan,
weep and bewail?”
Fairies were mute,
weeping so hard,
as weep clouds
in the spring…
“-Fairies dear,why do you wail?
In this desert
far off and dark,
suppose it snowed,
suppose it rained
Or came the wolf
to eat you up,
Or came the ghoul
to eat you raw.
Aren’t you scared,
fairies dear?
Don’t want to come
to our city?
It’s our city!
Can you hear?
Its chains clank
.Fairies dear!
Look at my height,
look at my horse:
my horse is white
with shoes shining
as if silver;
its tail and mane
just like honey.
My mount is fast,
as fast as gale
Like a gazelle
with iron veins!
Look at its neck,
look at its legs!
Look at its nose
high in the air!
The lights are on
all over town,
Dens are smashed
of all the ghouls .
Folks of village
come here tonight.
Beating drums,
they come to town
tombak they beat,
and tambourine
they dance around
and make you dance
They pour around
buds that smile,popcorn a lot.
“Hey hey,”
they say.
“Hoy, hoy,”
they say,
“the town is ours!
People rejoice, Ghoul is annoyed,ours is the world,
Ghoul is annoyed,
Whiteness is king,
Ghoul is annoyed,
Darkness is shamed,
Ghoul is annoyed.”…
Faries dear!
The day is up;
the fortress gates
are all closed.
If you get up
before it’s late
and mount my horse,
we go to town
of our people.
Listen to it:
there, chains clank
as they’re dropped
by the slaves.
Yes, my dears!
All heavy chains,
link upon link
fall off the hands,
fall off the legs
They are rotten,
so they break,
and lead the ghouls
to misery
if they flee
into forest,
they find spikes
all over it
if they flee
up to the field,
salt-marsh they find
all over it
But our place …
(I wish you knew,
fairies dear!)
All tower gates
will be opened
all the slaves
will be freed,
all the ruins
will be rebuilt.
Sin
How nice it is
our sins arent obvious
since we had to
wash ourselves cleanly ever day
or perhaps to live under the rain
or our lies
dont chang our figures(shapes)
tought we didnt remember each other even for a moment
merciful god thanks
بر شاخه های درخت غار
دو کبوتر
تاریک دیدم
یکی خورشید بود وآن دیگری ماه
همسایه های کوچک
با آنان چنین گفتم
گور من کجا خواهد بود
در دنباله دامن من
چنین گفت خورشید
در گلوگاه من
چنین گفت ماه
ومن که زمین را بر گرده خویش
داشتم و پیش می رفتم
دو عقاب دیدم همه از برف
و دختری سراپا عریان
که یکی دیگری بود و دختر هیچکس نبود
عقابان کوچک
به آنان چنین گفتم
گور من کجا خواهد بود
در دنباله دامن من
چنین گفت خورشید
در گلوگاه من
چنین گفت ماه
بر شاخساران
درخت غار دو کبوتر عریان دیدم
یکی دیگری بود و هردو هیچ نبودند
ترجمه ی شعر تو را دوست می دارم از پل الوار به دو زبان انگلیسی و فارسی و متن اصلی آن به زبان فرانسوی:
---------------------------------- فرانسوی
Je t’aime pour toutes les femmes que je n’ai pas connues
Je t’aime pour tous les temps oů je n’ai pas vécu
Pour l’odeur du grand large et l’odeur du pain chaud
Pour la neige qui fond pour les premičres fleurs
Pour les animaux purs que l’homme n’effraie pas
Je t’aime pour aimer
Je t’aime pour toutes les femmes que je n’aime pas
Qui me reflčte sinon toi-męme je me vois si peu
Sans toi je ne vois rien qu’une étendue déserte
Entre autrefois et aujourd’hui
Il y a eu toutes ces morts que j’ai franchies sur de la paille
Je n’ai pas pu percer le mur de mon miroir
Il m’a fallu apprendre mot par mot la vie
Comme on oublie
Je t’aime pour ta sagesse qui n’est pas la mienne
Pour la santé
Je t’aime contre tout ce qui n’est qu’illusion
Pour ce coeur immortel que je ne détiens pas
Tu crois ętre le doute et tu n’es que raison
Tu es le grand soleil qui me monte ŕ la tęte
Quand je suis sűr de moi.
I love you for all the women I haven't known
I love you for all the times in wich I haven't lived
For the scent of the wide open spaces and the smell of hot bread
For the melting snow and for the first flowers
For the innocent animals wich haven't been frightened by man
I love you to love
I love you for all the women I don't love
Who reflects me if not you yourself-I see myself so little
Without you I see nothing but an empty space
Between those other times and today
There have been all those deaths that I have crossed on straw
I have not been able to break through the wall of my mirror
I've had to learn life word by word
How one forgets
I love you for all the wisdom, which is not mine
         For health
               I love you against everything wich is only illusion
                   For that immortal heart over wich I have no power
                     You think that you are doubt but you're just reason
           You are the powerful sun that rushes to my head
                                   When I am sure of myself
تو را به جای همه زنانی که نشناخته‌ام دوست می‌دارم
 تو را به جای همه روزگارانی که نمی زیسته‌ام دوست می‌دارم
برای خاطر عطر گسترده بیکران و برای خاطر عطر نان گرم
برای خاطر برفی که آب می شود،برای خاطر نخستین گل
 برای خاطر جانوران پاکی که آدمی نمی‌رماندشان
 تو را برای خاطر دوست داشتن دوست می‌دارم
تو را به جای همه زنانی که دوست نمی دارم دوست می دارم.
جز تو ، که مرا منعکس تواند کرد؟من خود،خویشتن را بس اندک می‌بینم.
 بی تو جز گستره بی کرانه نمی بینم
میان گذشته و امروز.
از جدار آینهَ خویش گذشتن نتوانستم
می‌بایست تا زندگی را لغت به لغت فرا گیرم
راست از آنگونه که لغت به لغت از یادش می‌برند.
تو را دوست می دارم برای خاطر فرزانگیت که از آن من نیست
تو را برای خاطر سلامت
به رغم همه آن چیزها که به جز وهمی نیست دوست می‌دارم
برای خاطر این قلب جاودانی که بازش نمی‌دارم
تو می پنداری که شکی ،حال آنکه به جز دلیلی نیستی
تو همان آفتاب بزرگی که در سر من بالا می‌رود
بدان هنگام که از خویشتن در اطمینانم
